Heatwaves in South Asia: Characterization, Consequences on Human Health, and Adaptation Strategies

South Asia, with more than one-fifth of the world’s population, is highly vulnerable to heatwaves and associated health consequences. The population experiences considerably higher residential vulnerability due limited infrastructural capacities, economic resources, environmental quality deficiencies.
